The fourth edition of the Andalucia Valderrama Masters begins this week from Sotogrande, Spain. The event is being held at Valderrama Golf Club which was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. And opened in 1974. The course was most recently redesigned by Kyle Phillips in 2008. This is the second consecutive year that this event has been hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation, which was established in 2002 to contribute to the social inclusion of economically deprived children and youths through social assistance benefits and the use of sports as free-time activities. Notables in the field include Thomas Bjorn, Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, and Lee Westwood.
Live coverage on Golf Channel starts Thursday for the first round 6:00 – 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m. ET; Friday for the second round 6:00 – 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m. ET; Saturday for the third round 8:00 a.m. ET; and Sunday for the final round 7:30 a.m.
