The 70s decade experimented on lots of genres and most of them were successful. Though the 80s decade revisited the musical films but with a lesser success. Instead of adding musical numbers to plot, Film producers either added popular songs to the soundtrack or made original songs for the soundtrack. Disney animation films used musical genre a lot and were highly successful.
